FilterEquiv is designed as an open, client-side reference tool. We do not require user accounts, registration, or credit card information. The information processed consists of:
- Client Search Queries: Search terms typed into the search bar are processed locally in your browser via Pagefind and static indexes.
- Standard Server Logs: Cloudflare edge servers automatically record anonymized IP addresses, browser user agent strings, and request timestamps for security, DDoS prevention, and rate-limiting.
2. Cookies & Web Beacons
We do not set first-party tracking cookies for anonymous browsing. However, third-party partners (such as Amazon Associates, eBay Partner Network, and Google AdSense) may place cookies or web beacons to track qualifying purchases and display relevant advertisements.

3. Third-Party Links & Outbound Tracking
FilterEquiv contains outbound affiliate links to Amazon and eBay. When you click these links, you leave our website and are directed to external merchant platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of third-party platforms.
4. Data Retention & Rights
Under GDPR and CCPA regulations, you have the right to request access to or deletion of personal information held by web operators. Since we do not maintain personal identification databases, no personal tracking records exist to delete.
